End of the dailies

So this daily posting started out as a way to clear out all the stuff I had saved on my computer -- some of it migrated to new machines more than once -- so that I could find it but wouldn't have to think about backing it up.

At this point in time I'm done cleaning.

So if you've found this blog, check back once a week or so -- that's what I do with some guys I like to read but who are irregular posters.

A college professor, who was previously a sailor, was very aware that ships are addressed as "she" and "her". He often wondered in what gender computers should be addressed. To answer that question, he set up two groups of computer experts. The first was comprised of women, and the second of men.
